Dr. Natalia Hofmann

Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Hofmann is originally from Neenah, WI but has lived in a variety of places before joining the team at Gentle Vet in 2024. Her interest in exotics and wildlife started at a young age with caring for numerous animals of others and her own. She is happy to have her dream job and is excited to give love and care to the pets in the community.

She received her undergraduate degree in Marine Biology at University of West Florida where she conducted research on aquatic animals. After graduation she was employed at an environmental toxicology lab where she worked with projects funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and local businesses. While there she managed wetland research and cared for multiple aquatic animals.

Dr. Hofmann's enthusiasm for research led her to broaden her focus and accept a job University of Miami at the John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics. Her research on Autism, Alzheimer's, and other diseases contributed to multiple publications and presentations at international conferences. As much as she enjoyed her marine biology and research, her continued interest for the care of all animals led her to volunteer at a local small animal and exotics veterinary clinic while working full time. Her interest in the field and support from two veterinary mentors led her to Columbus, where she attained her veterinary degree at The Ohio State University. While in school, she enjoyed her exotic electives, farm animal visits, and educating owners. She was excited to join the team at Gentle Vet to continue that journey. She hopes her position at Gentle Vet will help in educating owners in the community of preventative care for their pets.

Dr. Hofmann is happy to be closer to her family in Wisconsin and to once again be in the presence of so many Packer fans. In her spare time she enjoys wildlife photography, crafting, disc golfing, live music, dancing, exploring the outdoors and volunteering at Cats Anonymous. She is excited to explore the Green Bay area with her Puerto Rican rescue dog, Colby and discover new breweries, restaurants, and coffee shops.
